“Everything we wanted out of this stay. Thank you to everyone who made it wonderful! The garden was gorgeous, the pool was perfect, bed super comfortable and the house was exactly as shown. It was private and far enough away that we felt relaxed. A day in Ubud center was enough for us as in the local surrounds with a scooter or GoJek we could find everything we needed. Definitely stay here if you are looking for an authentic Bali stay with flexibility, a fantastic host and a very slow paced experience. We will recommend and hopefully be back one day! Thank you for going to all the lengths you did to help us and accommodate us during our stay. It was an absolute pleasure! “Do not hesitate to book this place! From the moment the doors opened, we were amazed by how beautiful everything was. The layout, pool, rooftop terrace and kitchen area were all perfect—not to mention the stunning views. Liong and his team were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We even rented a scooter from Liong, which made exploring the local area much easier. The property is located about 15–20 minutes outside Ubud, which suited us perfectly. It was wonderful to relax in the peaceful surroundings, away from the hustle and bustle of the town, while still being close enough to visit whenever we wanted. “There are not enough words to describe how amazing and beautiful the Villa is. It meets all the needs for privacy, family friendliness, and a romantic getaway. Locally owned and run, the whole team is just beautiful. The recommended driver, Dewak, is a must to say yes to hiring. Local, authentic, he looked after us like family and helped us daily with appropriate places to visit, especially locally run tours and places, which was important to us to support local Balinese families in business. Dewak’s service really brought the Villa accommodation together, as they work as a unified team. Breakfast is a must. Liong, Dede, & Yuda were professional, with very sweet personalities, and constantly wanted to make sure we had everything. They went above and beyond. The neighbours are really kind, and seeing local farmers working out in the fields was truly such a privilege to witness real life Bali. There is so much to do locally. Love Ubud and will only stay here. Recommend to everyone — 10/10, top tier. You will fall in love here! 🌺🤍🙏🏾”

“We fell in love instantly with Joglo Hati. The space is designed with so much love and attention to detail – beautifully decorated and fully equipped with everything you need. The pool area is especially stunning and perfect for relaxing. We really loved the combination of modern comfort (especially the bathrooms) and traditional style. The location is ideal if you want to stay fairly central but away from Ubud’s busy traffic. It’s not overly touristy, the neighbors are mostly locals and it has a very authentic and peaceful atmosphere. There are a few cute cafés within walking distance and many more can be reached easily within 15–30 minutes via Grab or Gojek. Scooter rental is also possible through the team. We also loved being surrounded by nature – sweet dogs, visiting cats, and the sounds of geckos and frogs. The views over rice fields and mountains are beautiful and deeply relaxing. Thanks to Liong and his team for making our stay unforgettable – we miss it already!”

“The most beautiful experience for my birthday, they went above and beyond in every department. They even gave us free breakfast for our whole stay and they were so so kind. While I was out they came in and decorated my bed with petals and roses for my birthday, this made my whole week! We felt at home and would genuinely love to come back again. “We have now stayed here for the third time and will definitely return. The peace and beauty are simply unmatched. At Joglo Hati you find yourself right in the heart of Bali, in a truly special place. You can feel the love that Liong and his team put into this little paradise day after day in every corner. Whatever you may need, Liong always does his very best to make every wish possible. That is exactly what makes this place so special: it really feels like a second home. Since my first visit, Lodtunduh has also developed very positively. In recent years, many restaurants, cafés and spas have opened, so you no longer need to go to Ubud every day to experience something. A scooter is still recommended, as it offers more flexibility and independence, you can organise it through Liong. But even for those who prefer not to drive themselves, that is not a problem at all – with Grab or Gojek, you can comfortably get anywhere. I can truly say that we have found our second home in Lodtunduh ❤️”

“We loved our stay at this Villa. The hosts allowed us to check in early to drop off our luggage. The housekeeping team was super welcoming. When we returned to the villa later, everything was impeccable. The place is truly beautiful, even more so than in the pictures. The layout is perfect, offering privacy for each room, as well as pleasant common areas. The pool, the view, the rooftop terrace, and more—we absolutely loved it all. The neighbors were also very kind. The only downside of this place is the location, as it is about a 25-minute scooter ride from downtown Ubud, where you can find shops and restaurants. However, for us, who wanted a quiet place from which we could get to the center, it was perfect. Getting around is still easy, though. In short, we would come back to this place without hesitation! “Very beautiful villa, 20 mins away from Ubud. Everything was good. Some people specially driver was annoying and trying to make money off you - but all the drivers there are the same. Yes, it can feel a bit “annoying” to some. “Staying at Joglo Hati was maybe the most beautiful and unforgettable experience of our trip to Bali. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed - not just as guests, but as family. “Completely unforgettable stay. Every morning Aris came and made breakfast for us. He was very friendly and responsive to all our wishes. Every day, we were offered to have our rooms cleaned. Dede and Juda were also there and helped with various tasks such as gardening and general maintenance. They were very nice and always close to laughter. We could write to Liong if we had different wishes. He arranged, in addition to a motorcycle and bicycle, a driver named Dewak. A very nice and knowledgeable man who, when he drove us between accommodations, told us about different places worth visiting and about Bali's culture. We also booked him to take us to the airport and when we arrived he arranged a car for all our luggage. In addition to that, he arranged, at my request, some beautiful sarongs as I had forgotten to buy presents for the family at home. He had them with him when we went to the airport. I have only good things to say about our entire stay at Joglo Hati. Everyone was super nice and extremely accommodating. ❤️”

“This is a beautiful villa with a traditional feel but all the modern comforts - AC, smart TV, charging ports, filtered taps, and a hot/cold water dispenser. The views over the rice fields from every part of the villa are stunning and give a peaceful, calming atmosphere. The beds were comfortable, and the semi–open air bathrooms also looked out onto the fields. Breakfast was prepared daily by Aris, who was warm and attentive. The villa is about 25–30 minutes from central Ubud, and there are a few nearby activities like a coffee plantation and quad biking. The reason we deducted a star was because the landowner entered the villa twice without our permission to place religious offerings. While we respect the culture, it didn’t feel comfortable having someone enter the private space unannounced, so we checked out early. This may have been due to the Calungun festival at the time and might not happen year-round. Liong was very understanding and will ensure full privacy for future guests. Salem, we‘re sorry you felt your privacy was affected and you had to deduct a star. Galungan, one of Balis most important religious festivals, required us to enter the villa to pray and place offerings. The man performing the prayers was the landowner, also our village priest – necessary to keep the place safe from bad spirits. In your first complaint, which you didn’t mention here, you worried about your wife perhaps not wearing her headscarf. Dear future guests: we never enter the villa when the gate is locked from inside and always ask permission. We would never enter while you’re not home unless it's very important – and the praying was very important. We’ve learned from this and will inform future guests. We also thank them in advance for respecting our traditions and religion. Dear Salem, wherever you went after checking out early from Joglo Hati and claiming a refund – which we provided – I hope you and your wife found all that privacy, and I wish you a wonderful holiday in Bali.”

“Great villa with seperate cottages, living room and kitchen. Private pool with lounge chairs to relax was fantastic. Stand out was roof top lazy sitting area overlooking the rice fields. Liong was very responsive and quickly addressed and fixed smaller issues we faced like installing a new wifi extender in far away Madu cottage which instantly improved wifi reception. Also, Aries and other team member serving breakfast every morning with a smile made our stay special. Overall we had a great stay and will not hesitate to return in the future.”

“I had a wonderful time at Joglo Hati. This place is truly one of a kind, and I haven’t seen any villa like it during my holiday in Bali. The beautiful wooden houses and the separate living room with those huge windows offering a fantastic view – it’s spectacular. Local art here and there makes this place truly unique. The bedrooms are spacious, with very comfortable beds, and the bathrooms are so beautiful – I want that at home 😅 It really feels like you’re right in the middle of the rice fields. You get wonderful sunrises and sunsets. At night, the beautifully arranged lights turn the villa into a magical scene. The staff are exceptional. Liong is truly the best host – always there for you, answering any questions with a smile. Aris and Dede, who took care of our breakfast and the villa, were just as sweet and welcoming – always there for me. “This place is absolutely stunning! Surrounded by rice fields, So peaceful and calm. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch a breathtaking sunrise with the volcanoes in the background, and the sunsets are just as magical. It looks exactly like the photos, and everything is spotlessly clean. The rooms are spacious, the beds so very comfy, and the bathrooms huge. The pool is lovely, and the garden is beautiful – at night it feels like a place straight out of a fairy tale. Upstairs, there are some beanbags where we loved spending time, especially at sunset.The staff are simply amazing. Starting with the host, Liong, who was always there for us – no matter the time. He gave us great tips for restaurants and places to visit, and we were even able to rent scooters from him. Aris makes an incredible breakfast – his omelettes are heavenly and together with Dede, they take such good care of the place. They’re truly the kindest people. We can only recommend Joglo Hati 110%! We had such a wonderful time.”

“Staying at Joglo Hati in Ubud was such a special experience. It’s a very peaceful place, yet central to many amenities. What stood out most was how much this place supports the local community. Two young men prepare breakfast and help keep everything clean one of them, Aris, connected so well with my husband and made us feel truly at home. There’s also a local driver who took us around to art shops and shared local knowledge, which added so much to the experience. Everywhere, the atmosphere reflected genuine support for local people, community, and culture, which gave this place such a unique and meaningful vibe. We found so much peace here. The setting is beautiful, and while the local wildlife takes some getting used to, it’s all part of the authentic Ubud experience. Overall, our stay was absolutely wonderful, and we are so happy we had the chance to visit this beautiful place.”

The host was very prompt in replying and was helpful with any issues. 😊 Aris and his friends, along with Liong, were very friendly and went out of their way to help us with any needs. When we encountered some traditions of Bali during our trip, Aris shared stories and festivals about Bali and helped us solve any trivial matters in life. We are very grateful to them 🙏🏻🙏🏻. Liong rented us very functional and beautiful motorbikes which we developed feelings for. And Dewak ensured our travel was always safe. The pool was always clean. This place is perfect. Oh, and the very friendly neighbors and their dogs Mila and Suma. The neighbors often flew kites, and we could easily see them. This was fun, and there were often people at the door to pray for us. A very warm villa. In summary, this place is absolutely a great choice. I would recommend it to everyone. We are very reluctant to leave and hope to return next time. “We really enjoyed staying at Villa Joglo Hati. The location is fantastic at the end of a street, surrounded by rice fields where you can occasionally watch the rice farmers at work. The pool is very nicely laid out and you can relax in the small paradise all day. No traffic or noise. At night you can hear the frogs croaking. The two huts are very nicely furnished and each have their own bathroom with toilet and shower. In the living-dining room, you can sit comfortably and look at the rice field. Every day there was a lovingly and elaborately prepared breakfast from the friendly Aris. He also cleaned the entire villa every day. Overall, highly recommended for families or friendly couples.”

“A very special place to arrive and feel good. Joglo Hati is wonderfully quiet, surrounded by nature and with a fantastic view of the rice fields - far away from the hustle and bustle, but still in the middle of the action of Ubud in a few minutes. This combination of retreat and proximity is simply perfect. An absolute highlight for us was the breakfast: every morning freshly and lovingly prepared by Aris directly in the villa – incredibly delicious and served with so much heart. This made every day start in a special way. The villa was spotlessly clean, the privacy excellent – we immediately felt at home. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the beautiful setting — a lush tropical garden surrounding a peaceful pool, with the sounds of nature all around. The traditional and modern architecture and serene atmosphere, nestled in rice fields made it feel like a little paradise. “By chance, I came across this “gem” and spent two wonderful days at Joglo Hati. So often, the description, photos, and reality of an Airbnb don’t quite match up – but here, it was even more beautiful than described or shown in the pictures. You can’t help but feel completely at ease – not just because of the property itself, but also thanks to the lovely staff, Aris, Liong and Adit. Breakfast is lovingly prepared and served at a carefully set table, the rooms are perfectly tidied each day, and the garden is cared for with such attention. And the view! Wherever you look – it’s simply breathtaking. Surrounded on three sides by the rice fields, with volcanoes at sunrise and the sun setting behind the little forest - already stunning from the bedroom, but from the first floor, truly spectacular. I can’t quite find the words to describe what a wonderful time I had at Joglo Hati – but it was definitely my highlight in Bali this year. Thank you – I’ll most definitely be back ❤️”

“A small paradise surrounded by tranquility and nature. Our time at Joglo Hati was unforgettable. The accommodation is at the end of a small street – absolutely quiet, in the middle of the countryside and yet only a few minutes by scooter from Ubud. The perfect blend of rural idyll and proximity to life. A real highlight was the Bale – an open, covered lounge in the style of Balinese rice farmers' shelters. Designed with so much attention to detail, it offers a place of complete relaxation with a view of the countryside. Here you can feel the soul of Bali. The breakfast that Aris freshly prepared every morning was not only delicious, but also served with a lot of love – a perfect start to the day. “Upon arrival we received an extensive tour from the super friendly staff! The villa looks really nice! The bathroom has modern interior and is very new and tidy! The beds sleep wonderfully, and the pool has the perfect temperature. You can watch the sunset on the roof terrace in bean bags that are very nice. You can also enjoy the breakfast in the living room that is freshly prepared every morning by the cozy staff. The fast WIFI is also very pleasant! “I stayed at Joglo Hati with my family for two nights, and we truly had a wonderful time. Each of the two traditional wooden houses – the “Joglos” – has a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, and you can feel the love and care that went into every detail of the design, from the bedrooms to the beautifully furnished living room. There’s just so much beauty and detail everywhere. And the view – wherever you look – is stunning in every direction, especially from the upper floor. I haven’t seen a sunset this beautiful even by the coast. The pool was all ours – completely private and nestled between the bedrooms and the garden. Oh, and that garden – it’s absolutely beautiful! We learned that “Hati” means heart in Indonesian – and the name truly captures everything we experienced here. We had a fantastic time, wished we could have stayed longer – and we’ll definitely be back! Thank you so much for having us! ❤️”

“Hello travelers! My friend and i stayed at the brand new Joglo Hati in May 2025 and it was a beautiful, most pleasant stay there! It’s in the middle of rice fields, very quiet and so wonderful designed! Everything is done so tasteful, the lush garden, the private pool, and not to forget the rooftop terrace. For sunrise (if you don’t want to watch that right from your bed) or sunset, it’s perfect there. The staff is super friendly and helpful, I liked the breakfast a lot. It’s the perfect place for some relaxing time but you want more evening entertainment, Ubud is just 20 min away. I wish i could have stayed longer, that’s my only regret. Highly recommended to stay there and next time I will also stay longer, it’s so worth it. Thanks everyone for this great stay at Joglo Hati ❤️ Ps: can’t wait to come back!”
